Knowing the names of the letters and the most common sounds they make is crucial for beginning readers. These games provide repeated practice with saying the names and/or sounds of the letters.
Fresh Out Alphabet: Small groups of students try to be the first one to find matching sets of alphabet letter cards. You can also use these cards as traditional matching cards, or to play a memory game.
