Friends on the Block - This site has tips for parents/teachers of beginning readers, as well as sample materials for a unique literacy curriculum designed to help all kids read successfully and enjoy reading. Their section on Reading Topics is an a to z listing of reading issues you can use to look up specific situations or conditions. This site also has great tips for finding a high quality preschool, connecting with your child's school, and activities to do at home,

Text Project - This is an amazing resource for parents and teachers. There are word lists and beginning readers you can use with students. There are vocabulary techniques and reading motivation ideas. There are articles and videos that can teach you more about text and helping all learners become great readers. It is absolutely fantastic.
